They accommodated all of the logistical timetabling challenges to deliver to all 24 classes in the school and both staff and students were incredibly positive about the overall experience.

100% of the teachers surveyed said yes, they / their students gained new sustainability knowledge or skills and 100% said yes, they’ll incorporate more sustainable learning activities with their students in future.

Preparing for the experience(s)

  • For our Growing Future Makers Program at primary schools, we will need exclusive use of your school hall. We can set up and pack down around OOSH programs if required. Ideally, it’s best if lunchtime clubs aren’t scheduled in the hall during days we are at your school - but we can work around this if required. We don’t require any tables or chairs.

  • Yes, for our Growing Future Makers Program at primary schools, we will need a contact at your school to help connect our Mac laptop to the projector screen and AV system. We will bring an HDMI cable and clicker.

  • We will share a one page program overview for class teachers in your Experience Confirmation Pack.

  • If you have specific arrival instructions please let us know as part of completing your Experience Confirmation Pack Checklist.

  • We do not call you to remind you of your booking - however you're welcome to double check everything is ok with us at any time. As long as you've signed a confirmation and returned it to our office your booking is locked in on our end.

  • We love parent helpers! Not only are sessions (even more!) engaging - but it helps to spread more ripples of positive change in your community. However, if you don’t have parent helpers available - that’s completely fine too.

  • There are three things you can do!

    1. Share the program overviews you’ll receive in your Experience Confirmation Pack with teachers, students and parents in your community

    2. Have a complimentary 30 minute virtual chat with us to tell us about your current initiatives and future plans that relate to the program theme. We love incorporating these into the experience - and it makes it incredibly meaningful for students and teachers

    3. Do one or more post experience activities with your students. Suggested activities are provided in your Experience Confirmation Pack.

The day of the experience(s)

  • The facilitator(s) will arrive approx. 60 minutes prior to the experience to allow plenty of time to set up.

  • We prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and handle all set up. For our Growing Future Makers Program experiences, we just need an AV contact to help connect our laptop to your projector and PA system.

Due to the highly interactive - and varied - nature of our experiences, we have quite a lot of props and equipment to setup. If at all possible, we (greatly!) appreciate an onsite parking spot 🙂

  • Again, we do everything. We will pack up immediately after our session, which takes 40-60 minutes.

  • We'd love you to be actively engaged in the experience with your students and have fun! We'd also like you to support students with behaviour management (if needed)

  • We’ll need the final number of students attending the experiences(s) on the day to ensure we invoice you correctly.

We would also love to hear your feedback! The feedback link for Growing Future Makers Programs is here.

  • Absolutely! We just ask that you please mention Be The Future when you share the photos or videos, as it helps to spread more ripples of positive change.

We’d also love to see any pictures you’re happy for us to use. Please email them to hello@bethefuture.earth

After the experience(s)

  • We’ll email you an invoice with instructions of how to transfer the money into our bank account.

There’s also an option to pay by credit/debit card. Card payments powered by Stripe. Stripe accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and China UnionPay payments from customers worldwide. Stripe charge 1.7% + 0.30 AUD on domestic cards.

  • There are four things you can do!

    1. Share photos/videos of the experience - as well as the parent program overview you received in your Experience Confirmation Pack - with parents and carers in your community

    2. Involve your students in any current initiatives and future plans that relate to the program theme

    3. Do one or more post experience activities with your students. Suggested activities are provided in your Experience Confirmation Pack.

    4. Book another Be The Future experience theme for next term or next year!
